feat: stream structured logs from com.apple.os_trace_relay - #88
startDeviceLog only reads syslog_relay. That stream is unstructured text, needs regexes to filter, drops non-ASCII characters to escapes, and carries kernel noise such as wlan0: lines.
What is the new behavior?
Adds startDeviceLogStream([{ deviceId, processName }]), which reads com.apple.os_trace_relay and emits a deviceLogEntry event per os_log entry: type, timestamp, pid, thread, process and sender image paths, message, subsystem and category.
Entries are selected by executable name rather than pid, so the stream follows an app across relaunches.
If the stream can't start, an error is emitted so the caller can fall back to the syslog relay.
startDeviceLog is unchanged.
The thread id is read from offset 83 of the record header. That offset comes from testing, where it matched all 40 records checked on iPadOS 26.7, rather than from documentation.
Testing
JS tests pass.
Used end to end through the CLI on an iPad running iPadOS 26.7: long messages, emoji, relaunches.
Built for arm64 only locally, so the universal build is first exercised by CI.
Added structured device-log streaming on non-Windows platforms, with entries that include process, timestamp, severity, message, and optional subsystem or category details.
Added optional process-name filtering for streamed logs.
Streamed entries are delivered through a dedicated event; existing device-log data events remain available.
Platform Support
Structured device-log streaming is not supported on Windows.
Adds startDeviceLogStream, which emits a deviceLogEntry event per os_log entry: type, timestamp, pid, thread, process and sender image paths, message, subsystem and category. Entries are selected by executable name rather than pid, so the stream follows an app across relaunches.

Walkthrough
The native library now requests and parses structured device logs through os_trace_relay. The JavaScript API starts the stream and emits entries on deviceLogEntry. Callers can optionally filter entries by process name. Windows reports structured log streaming as unsupported.

Summary
Relay record decoding IOSDeviceLib/Constants.h, IOSDeviceLib/IOSDeviceLib.cpp
Adds the os_trace_relay service constant, a helper that reads complete fields, and activity-record parsing. The parser rejects malformed records and extracts process, PID, thread, timestamp, level, image, message, and optional subsystem and category.
Adds the relay request and record loop. It skips malformed records and process-basename mismatches. The logStream dispatch validates device IDs, launches the stream on a detached thread on non-Windows platforms, and reports unsupported streaming on Windows.
JavaScript API and event contract typings/interfaces.d.ts, ios-device-lib.js, test/ios-device-lib.js
Adds stream and entry types, startDeviceLogStream, and the deviceLogEntry event. Responses use the requested event name when provided; existing deviceLogData emission remains the default. The test checks the request and verifies that entries use deviceLogEntry.

Merge Risk: Moderate · up to 03c91
The new structured log stream can silently stop delivering logs for other devices after one device disconnects. A malformed record could also crash the helper process, and a stream that ends gives callers no signal to fall back to syslog. These are worth fixing before merge; the existing syslog-based log path is unchanged.

Keep streams for other devices active after one device is lost.
If logStreamArray contains devices A and B, losing A makes _getPromise remove the single response listener for both devices. Native entries from B then continue to arrive, but JavaScript no longer emits them. Create a separate stream subscription per device, or retain the response listener until every requested device has stopped. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Clean up listeners only after all requested streams fail.
startDeviceLogStream() installs one shared listener pair for the full logStreamArray. The native logStream handler starts one detached stream per device, so an error for one device is not terminal for the request.
The JavaScript shouldEmit branch emits the error without calling handleMessage() or removeListeners(). Each failed retry therefore adds another listener pair. Because the stdio handler extends EventEmitter, repeated failures can trigger a listener-limit warning and retain memory.
Track startup outcomes per device. Emit each error, keep the shared listeners while another device can produce entries, and call removeListeners() only when every requested stream has failed. Do not reject the ignored promise.

Release the connection and notify the caller when the stream ends.
The stream ends when a receive fails or when a marker is not 0x02. In both cases the function returns without any cleanup or message. It does not call AMDServiceConnectionInvalidate(serviceInfo.connection). With skip_cache=true, start_secure_service still adds the connection to serviceConnections under a new connection_id, so each ended stream leaks one service connection. Repeated calls to startDeviceLogStream, for example across device reconnects, add more leaked connections. The JavaScript caller also gets no error event when the stream stops, because no message is printed. The PR uses error to trigger the fallback to syslog_relay. A stream that stops after startup therefore leaves the caller waiting with no logs and no signal. Invalidate the connection after the loop, remove its serviceConnections entry, and print an error that says the stream ended.

Cap record_size before record.resize.
record_size is a raw uint32_t from the relay stream, and no upper bound limits it. The stream can desynchronize, for example after a partial read on reconnect or after an unexpected framing change on a new iOS version. In that case the 4 bytes after the marker can decode to a value up to about 4 GiB. record.resize(record_size) then throws std::bad_alloc, or it allocates a large buffer. The throw happens on a detached std::thread and nothing catches it, so std::terminate ends the whole ios-device-lib process. That stops every other device operation, not only this log stream. The startup reply already has a 1 << 20 cap. Apply a similar cap to each record and end the stream when a record exceeds it.
