Dependabot resolves update metadata through the anonymous, approved PackageFeedProxy. Its registry and download-host settings are configured in .github/dependabot.yml. This configuration is scoped to Dependabot; normal Yarn installs and builds keep their existing registry settings.
The proxy returns package archives hosted on separate ms-feed-*.pkgs.visualstudio.com
feeds, including URLs already recorded in the lockfile. Dependabot must declare
and reference each required download registry, even though it allows anonymous
access, or its network policy blocks the download.
The proxy's package-availability delay still applies to dependency updates. Versions that are not available must be supplied through the approved feed process or become eligible before Dependabot can select them. No dependency versions or application build settings are changed by this configuration.

When you submit a pull request, a CLA bot will automatically determine whether you need to provide a CLA and decorate the PR appropriately (e.g., status check, comment). Simply follow the instructions provided by the bot. You will only need to do this once across all repos using our CLA.
