When the StackChan head tilt home Y-axis value is changed from a flat pitch angle Joystick cross-hairs position is wrong #76
When using the remote control program with a StackChan with a modified home position with the servos setting, the centered joystick value corresponding to pitch angle is not at 45 degrees as it should be but actually quite close to the Y-axis max value of 90.
If the servos setting is the default home position, the centered joystick is roughly at 45 degrees which seems correct.
The centered joystick Y-axis should be the same no matter what the home position setting is in the Settings app.
Thanks for the report. The Home setting calibrates the servo’s zero reference. The companion remote sends angles relative to that reference, so changing Home also changes the physical head orientation for the same joystick position. This is expected behavior.
For normal calibration, please set Home with StackChan looking straight forward, as illustrated in Settings. The centered joystick corresponds to approximately 45° relative to that calibrated zero.
