A security release: RUSTSEC-2026-0382 in rustls-webpki reached the crates.io build, and the other advisories on the v1.2.0 lock file are gone too. The release tarballs move from a compiled-in OpenSSL to rustls, which rejects a self-signed certificate that is its own trust anchor even with --ca-cert. The vendored-openssl feature is gone, and --features native-tls,native-tls/vendored builds the same thing. surge-ping goes back to 0.8.4, because 0.9.1 does not build on 32-bit PowerPC and MIPS, and upload connections buffer their writes again.
