The default branch list in hack/ubi-bump-prs.sh was missing release-v0.9, so running the script without arguments only produced UBI bump PRs for release-v0.7, release-v0.8, and main — silently skipping release-v0.9, which is an active, maintained release branch (covered by Renovate's baseBranchPatterns). Add it so the default run matches the maintained release window. Retro: PR #3636 — chore: Add release-v0.9 to ubi-bump-prs.sh default branchesOutcome: Closed without merge (superseded by PR #3654). Timeline
AssessmentThe agent workflow performed well on this trivial PR. The review agent correctly identified the 1-line change as low-risk and approved with no findings — the right call. Risk scoring was accurate. No rework cycles were needed. Three candidate improvements were evaluated, all scoring below the filing threshold (0–2/5) and covered by existing issues: Judge scores
Redundant review after force-push: The author force-pushed the same 1-line diff (only the commit SHA changed), triggering a second ~13 min review that produced the identical "Looks good to me" result. This is evidence for the cluster of existing fullsend-ai/fullsend issues proposing semantic-diff gating for re-review dispatch (#8099, #8127, #6968, #7237, #7628). Review effort for trivial changes: The review agent spent ~13 min on a 1-line config change. Existing issues fullsend-ai/fullsend #6891 and #1900 propose lighter review paths for trivially-scoped PRs. Superseded PR: PR #3636 sat unmerged for 6 days despite No proposals filed — all candidates are well-covered by existing issues. |
What:
Add
release-v0.9to the default branch list inhack/ubi-bump-prs.sh.Why:
Running
hack/ubi-bump-prs.shwithout arguments only produced UBI bump PRs forrelease-v0.7,release-v0.8, andmain, silently skippingrelease-v0.9— an active, maintained release branch (within Renovate'sbaseBranchPatternsrelease-v0.7+). This caused the v0.9 bump to be missed on a manual run (see EC-2343, where the v0.9 PR had to be created separately). Adding it keeps the default run aligned with the maintained release window.Tickets:
