Hello, I really like Librislog, it gives exactly what I want. The only problem that remain is that we can't assign books to a particular shelve. It is not very practical if we have a big library. For the moment, I use tag but I can't add them massively to a group of books, or simply a cart. It could be very great to have this functionnality.
I'm sorry, I don't know if this is the best place to send this suggestion. I really like this project,
best regards, Hélie Frédout
Adding a shelf as an additional attribute is something I want to avoid for now. There are already so many fields in the edit dialog. I don't want to make it even more complicated.
I think tags are the way to go. They work in search and every user can name them like they want.
But I get the point, that adding tags to all books can be a lot of work. I'll think of a solution for easier/mass tagging.
Thank you for your fast and clear answer! I think it's the best solution, I really appreciate keeping this simple and powerful at the same time, it would let us use tags for each specific type of use. Good luck while developping this project, I really love it, I'm looking forward for this solution!
I implemented a (mass) tag editor in #120 which is merged to develop branch and can be tested via the Docker image tagged with develop tag. It will be part of the upcoming LibrisLog release.
The editor is available via Profile page -> Manage my data and looks like:

Hello, I pulled the develop version to try the Mass editor, it feels really useful ! I just found that I can't modify tags, even on one book, it says "Not found" every time I try to apply the tag add or remove. Thank you very much for what you made, and take your time as necessary to keep it great !
Have a great day
That's strange. Test cases pass and even on my local setup it works. Are there any error messages in your browser console (Press F12 button in webbrowser) or in the Docker container logs?
It's under a caddy reverse proxy, but if I connect directly to librislog, it gave the same error. I don't know if this is enough details. Hope it will help you
Looks like it's missing the backend endpoints. Have you set the backend image to develop tag too? Have you run docker compose pull afterwards @hlfredoutrodot
Hello, I'm sorry, I just forget to change the backend image to the develop tag (I haven't used docker since a long time). Thank you for everything you've done!

I did some more tests, but I can't reproduce your problem.
@tuxnwhiskers and @sorryusernameisalreadytaken since your probably just using the develop version, can you try
out if the mass tag editor is working for you or if you have the same problem as @hlfredoutrodot?
The editor can be reached via the profile page:

For me the mass tag editor is working exactly as it should. It's a really helpful feature indeed!

Don't worry, you're welcome. Happy to hear that it seems to work for you now.
