Fixes #532. It is a continuation of @thiagobrez's work from #567.
Summary
On iOS 26+, the Liquid Glass tab bar does not draw the
UITabBarAppearancebackground. SoscrollEdgeAppearance, translucent={false}andtabBarStyle.backgroundColorhad no effect. #567 setsUITabBar.backgroundColorinstead.On iOS 26.5 the glass bar changes its own traits to dark over colored content, so the dynamic
.systemBackgroundbecame black. This PR resolves the bar color against the window's traits, and applies it again when the light/dark mode changes.Changes on top of #567:
artifacts/issue-532/) are removed from the repository.main.TabViewImpl.swiftresolves the bar color withtabBar.window?.traitCollection, and callsupdateTabBarAppearanceononChange(of: colorScheme). Results
Tested on iPhone 17 simulators with a repro that has colored rows under the bar.
opaque, translucent={false}, lightopaque, translucent={false}, darkdefault, transparentIn dark mode, a light custom color gets light icons, because dark mode uses light label colors.
